Saved Views allow you to save all of the settings that you manually set up within a table view. This can come in handy if you always want to see the same information in the same format every time you view a table.
The Table data available to be saved within the view:
- Columns: The current state of all columns, preferred order, and if they are pinned
- Filters: Both Basic and Advanced filters and the queries within them are saved
- Sorting: If you want your table sorted by a particular value (you can only sort by a single value)
- Rows-per-page: Allows you to anticipate the same page size on every visit
- You can optionally join and filter with data from a joined table.
How to Save a New View
- When you have all of the above table data set up to your liking, click the “Save View As” button towards the top of the page. When you hover over the button, you will notice all of the edits that will be saved within the view:
- When you select the button, you will have a modal open, prompting you to add a name for your new View:
- Once it is saved, you will see a change towards the top of the table. The Table will now show your Table Type / Saved View Name. The “Views” drop down will also be dark blue, indicating that a saved view is selected:
Updating a View
If you make any changes to a saved view’s information while within that view, you will see the option to “Save” your updates. You may not want to save your updates if you are using the Saved View as a starting point to find specific information.
- To see the unsaved changes, hover over the “# Unsaved Change” text:
- You will be prompted with a confirmation to update your existing view. Select “Save” again:
